No point in trying to understand their logic.  I find 'yes dear' is a useful phrase. image

  • Edd that look fabulous nice colour as well great going - maybe nip out buy some plants get them planted soon bulbs and plants would look even better in spring

    How many did you make?

So far I am collecting pallets nearly made another coldframe, still clearing soil for where pallet shed will be going at the allotment

Definitely put a timber 'coping' round it Edd. You'll be glad you did. It finishes off any kind of timber bed or planter properly.

I passed a house today with half a dozen pallets sitting outside. Contemplated going in and asking them if they wanted rid of them. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It's worth the extra effort Edd. Dead easy if you have one of those circular saws too - unfortunately I don't! image

I've got a run of raised beds of different sizes and heights,  along one fence GWRS and a smaller one along the back fence, plus two of those 'boxes' as in the 2nd pic. The garden was just industrial paving and gravel when I moved here a couple of years ago. Makes it easier to grow plants that need better drainage too - the ground is heavy, compacted clay - it was the sensible solution for me. image

Think the pallets are a bit soggy now  Ggirl - wouldn't really want to put them in my car...image

  • That is great Edd I try to save as many nails that I can re-use

Fairygirl that is when I usually end up collecting them not all the time but quite a few times I end up getting them in the rain, we use those free Hillier boot liners in the car that helps

just been looking on Youtube for pallet bench ideas
