Unless you are looking to overwinter I would suggest just letting them do their own thing. If you are keeping them on the window ledge then nipping out had its benefits of keeping them compact and bushy.....
I'm surprised super chilli is compact tho mine are usually quite large bushy plants when I have had them outside. I guess it depends on the size of the pots

I;m trying Lemon and Basque Red chilli's from Real seeds this year.. really looking forward to seeing just how they taste
They were sown early feb in a heated propagater and now live on a sunny window sill, plants coming along nicely about 4" tall now

Andy lemon is a fab one but I'm not familiar with the other one. Lemon can be quite a big plant to pot up big

Many chillies overwinter well but beware of white fly it seems to love chillies in the winter!!!
