I have a question about my chilies, and was referred here by KEF.

I've got several varieties under lights in the cellar, and they're been doing fine. I have Jalapeño, Habanero, Cayenne and Tabasco. Now, just in recent days, on the Jalapeño only, there is something bad happening with the leaves. They're curling a bit, and there's sort of deposit on the underside of the leaves. Well, it looks like a deposit, but I can't scrape it off.

Any clue about what's going on or how to fix it would be much appreciated. I can't seem to upload pictures, but here are some links:

Stacey where are you ? Help needed here image

  • What's up I'm here lol
  • Omthree... Firstly nice plants .... What lights do you you have them under and how high away from the plant are they? I personally don't think there is anything wrong with them. Sometimes plants under lights do curl and get "thick" underneath.. My space chilli has the same thing and it's thriving.... What nutrients are you feeding them?... I will go ask some others as well but they look fine too me will reply with what some others think shortly
  • Ok have spoken to a few others and we are all of the same opinion it's not a problem just either light too close, over feeding or odema get a fan down there to increase airflow....cut down the feed at this stage you should be only feeding slightly ( mag&cal) half measure (2.5ml per litre) chilli focus..... But if you have no ventilation fan away!! If they offend strip them the plant will repay you
  • Hi Stacey, it's been ages since I've 'seen' you,  I hope you are well. I've liked your FB page and your pics are fab image
