Oooo hello ol ... Thanks it has really ramped up this year and I'm loving it.... I have been very lucky and a lot of excellent growers have sent me amazingly rare seeds... I have just started growing wilds which are a whole new ball game but are tricky beasts lol... lol whoops get them on a hot window ledge.... If u don't have any luck let me know I can germinate you a few xx
I've not actually fed them much at all yet. There was some fertiliser in the original potting mix, but I haven't started with anything else yet. Perhaps I should! They're under fluorescent bulbs (philips starlight is the brand) and the lights are about 30cm away. A fan is a good idea. I'll give that a whirl.
Kef I have just sowed some little elf for a competition ( growing chillies in a demijohn!) if they come up I will send you some.... My first lot are going into the poly tunnel hurrah but the last lot have just been potted on... 75 this year!! I have just spent a week at Norfolk chilli farm and had an ace time .... I have decided that I enjoy the growing so much I'm going to grow to sell next year and am also going to grow for a few producers which is a huge privalage...... Kef try soaking the seeds for 24 hours in Tra or Epsom salt
Cheers Tracey I did give them an overnight bath in Tetley's. as you said on your thread.
They don't like me
Grow to sell yippee I'll buy yours
Chilli Queen rocks
Hosta mine only have two sets of true leaves. If yours have been okay I guess they will be fine..only a guess!
Mine are in the conservatory and it gets down to about 14C overnight my GH is still in single figures, best over last week has been 8C so toms still in the plant house aka conservatory We might also get the dining room back before the end of the month
Hosts fan you would be risking it putting them out with so few leaves mine are in flower and I'm not risking it!!!! They will be fine to 5??? however if it drops below this frequently you are risking them going into stasis . They will stop growing and getting them going again is tricky..... Put them out in the day bring them in at night

How are everyone's chillies doing?
My Willy were a no show, as were Little Elf
I've sown the last of the Willy seeds today for last attempt.
Anaheim and Cayenne no problems doing great.
Chilli Focus food awaits them
Mine are at 3 - 4 pairs of true leaves. Would they be ok left in an unheated polytunnel overnight? I'm still covering them with polythene each night.
My first year of growing from seed.
Cheers Tracey
