Just got back and garden's looking great - as is the wisteria which I'm really pleased about, although my Patty's Plum poppies are all black and soggy and don't know why.

Saw two lovely gardens up North, one walled garden in Richmond, Yorks and Nunnington Hall not far from York itself.

Would have liked to have been able to collect plants for the project but boot full of luggage and we were travelling around so not really practicable.

Artjak, thought you were doing your London/Bristol/Somerset trip this weekend, has it been postponed?

Did you take any photos Lizzie? I've started a thread for Gardens we have Visited.

I didn't but my husband did so I'll ask him to input them on our computer for me later.

I have been away for 6 weeks so have just found this link.  I would like to help.  I live in York and am travelling down to Shaftesbury for the next bank holiday if this helps.  I could transport some plants that far south also I can find some plants in my own garden.  Please can someone let me know what is needed.  Thanks

Maureen, what date would that be? I think Rosie is the person to ask about Palletline and Framptons who are the nice haulage companies that are helping the appeal.

It is very kind of you to get involvedimage

Did anyone hear the Woman's Hour broadcast this morning on R4?  Part of it came from the Somerset Levels, talking about the ongoing impact on families and gratitude was expressed for all the help and support they are receiving from the rest of the country.

Hi Maureen - I'll put out a call on the volunteers facebook page to see if anyone can help ferry them from Shaftesbury to Somerset!  (Brilliant that you can get them so far - thank you SO much!)

    Rosie
