Thanks chicky - it's really lovely when others appreciate what you love. The garden is my pride and joy, and I absolutely love it, I can't quite believe I own it but it makes me so happy.
star gaze lily, we have walls on 2 sides, the other is a fence but as its behind a well established border you can't really see it. One of my summer jobs is to do some pointing on the walls.... not sure I'll love the walled garden then
Beautiful Potters - can I steal your 'borrowed view' of the church spire? That's a view to die for. The pathway is stunning too and a wall is always a real asset. It's so worthwhile when you see something coming together when you've slaved away at it
I find pointing very therapeutic.
doc- I know what you mean. I'm loving my Cheerfulness narcissus just now more than anything. I fancied those tulips (and the Ballerina ones) for a bit of contrast but all the purple plants (apart from a few bulbs ) are later flowering - Clematis, Alliums and Irises - so it wouldn't have worked. I may still get some this autumn though!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fantastic pictures everyone, I must get some more of mine on, I have an Azalea just about to flower which hasn't flowered for a few years so very proud of my efforts there
Potters, your garden is amazing and is that a camper van I see hidden in the first photo......you could be my new best friend
I love those heart flowers Punk and Mrs garden have, they are definitely going on my wish list but can't remember what they are called until I check again Nice alpine garden too Punk
Dicentra? Are they also called Bleeding Hearts? Yes you did have some the same Lily, sorry I fruit to say yours too, so I'm presuming they are called Bleeding Hearts, very pretty and I don't think I've ever seen them before.

Yes Dicentra or bleeding hearts....they came in the pink kind like mine or deep red. I love them, like the shade and are easily divided.
