Started work on increasing the number of veg beds ready for winter planting, its hard work getting through this grass though.. I also need to order the bare root hedging so these different areas look a little less metal fencing.
Had quite decent crops from the two beds of Pots - Fennel - Cabbage - French Beans - Borlotti beans - Chard and sprouts .
but I quickly realised I need a lot more space especially to get some rotation..
Not a lots changed at the front other than some Anemones appearing (no idea what the variety) though they are getting a little lost under the mass of sweet peas
The Verbenas gone mad (10ft tall in places) but is colourful and at least gives the sweet peas something to climb on (note for next year - taller teepees)
Best news is that the scaffolding is finally slowly coming down

Well - I made it into the garden and worked for a few hours. Photos tomorrow. Maybe.
Just planted up a couple of Autumn pots as the Summer plants were passed their best
Imperata Cylindrica Rubra 'Red Baron', Heathers Bonnie and Theresa and a few pansies.
Everything still looking good out there ..... don't you just love an Indian Summer
Here are some of my "cage" ....
OH has just scalped the grass
Beautiful pics Chicky, thank you for sharing.
It's a man thing chicky
The cage is looking great. You can forgive Mr Chicky his grass rumping when he makes such lovely metalwork
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
kudos to chicky
Chicky, your borders look lovely in the soft autumn sunlight
