Your lunch looks very nice, I buy seeded bread too I love it, just
put our chicken breast in the oven with mushrooms, garlic, roasted veg and new potatoes followed by Apple and blackberry pie with custard mmmmm can't wait, you look like you've had some nice weather, did you enjoy your day out?
It was a lovely day for a walk. I find in the winter I am much better for a nice walk in the sunshine when the garden is too wet or the weather too cold for gardening. It was a chill wind today but I do enjoy the sunshine. I came home and cooked a nice roast chicken supper which I was ready for.
Another dry sunny day but still very cold so will wait a bit before I go out pruning. Forecast is frost again for tonight. My online Xmas presents I bought on Black Friday are starting to arrive so must stay close to house anyway to take them in and signature needed for some of them. Could write Xmas cards! Busy time of year.
White roofs and grass as I look out the windows this morning, but there is a yellow warning out for very windy weather in Bristol Thursday and Friday so must , as soon as it is warmer, check over the garden for any broken or dead wood in my many large trees to avoid any damage. It is very dark at the moment with low cloud but there are supposed to be brighter spots before the rain in the afternoon.
Oh, my goodness, Beaus Mum. What a responsibilty! I can remember my mother asking my late husband if Marion ever sat down and he said No! I did have seven children at the time! But old habits die hard even when you are 86 and I have a friend whose work output mentally at 78 puts me to shame so I know how you feel. His account of his week, whether it is at the theatre for Shakespeare or a modern play or opera or a concert or ballet has me switching from an old nostalgic film on youtube to something more classical!
Just home from a perfectly delicious Xmas meal with ten lovely ladies at the Bristol Fashion Beefeater restaurant in central Bristol. You never saw such clean plates. We are going to have a wonderful year as the Green capital of Europe - no waste here! The sun shone all the way there and back and our road was looking so clean as the road sweepers had been and swept up the last of the leaves in my absence. I wrote and popped down to the post box a thank you card and now it is dark so no checking up the garden today. Tibouchina is flowering in the conservatory though. i do not get withdrawel symptoms when I go out as long as I have blooms in my winter garden.
