    Watching the  bit about dippers on the programme about Loch Lomond last night,  reminded me of this

    Yes - I'll never forget the time I spent ten minutes or more watching one in a Lake DIstrict stream.  Fascinating.  Another good pic too.

    Jam making is becoming a daily task (well a chore, really ), but I hate to waste  the strawberries.

     I notice the raspberries are fattening and I haven't walked over to the orchard to check the loganberries either, but they don't usually get ripe until closer to Christmas.
