I took some of the inversion further up the hill David, but the sun was coming from the right hand side of where I was standing, and it was blinding, so those were a bit white. It gets very hazy this time of year when you're higher, but I got some views right across to the Arrochar hills where I'd been the day before. The weather was terrific for walking. You're right, the Perthshire/Stirling area is beautiful, but to be honest, when the weather's like that , everywhere is!
That sheep was funny - every time he turned his head away, I whistled and I took the pic when he looked back at me. Got quite a few nice shots of him
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

That time of year again.
Silver birch in my back garden.
Great colour David. I passed so many beautiful trees at the weekend but, as I was driving, I couldn't really get the camera out!
I did get some nice pix on Friday and Saturday though.

Taken on Ben Donich with Ben Lomond in the background
This is from the lower slopes of Ben Ledi - the fog was burning back , but a cloud inversion is always great :
Looking back over Callander, with the Wallace monument just visible away in the distance on a little hillock :
