we were camping 5 years ago and one morning I said to my OH it's time to replace my old Springer (Max) you see we had to give him away as my wife was pregnant with my son (IVF) but he was Jumping up at her also being to aggressive (rescue Dog) it broke my heart but we had tried for years to have a baby so I wasn’t going to let anything happen to my wife and child.
Any way we were on holiday in North Devon when one morning I was saying to OH that it was time we started to think about replacing him as It had been over seven years. Later that morning my wife and son went up to the pet’s corner and low and behold he was the last one in the litter; actually he had been sold and returned that day. My OH came back and told me so I went to have a look. That was it Love at first sight, we are addicted to each other he is always by my side with a ball in his mouth he is obsessed with ball’s
That's a lovely tail James - it's sad but quite understandable that Max had to go - we can never tell what's happened in a rescue dogs' earlier life, and sometimes they will sense a pregnancy and feel their place in the 'pack' is threatened and act accordingly. And now you have Jasper - and he is gorgeous and there's obviously a lot of mutual admiration going on
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Max was given to a friend by the sea that had a heart bypass and needed to walk every day he went to a good home I even went to make sure the new owners were right for him
Thanks folks....Verdun, my new camera is a Fujifilm HS50EXR and cost (including a quality case & 8GB memory card) £385. I'm very pleased with it, although today is the first time I've had a chance to get used to it.
My previous camera was the Fugifilm S4500 = 30x zoom (only 3 months old & for sale) it gave me a good insight to how the new one works.
I would say, not to get get carried away by pixel numbers, don't be in a hurry and talk to people who have experience.
I think probably Nikon & Canon make the best cameras, but you pays yer money & takes your choice.

This is what my new lens does.
That's impressive David - the boat is only just visible in the first shot.
James, that sounds as if everything turned out right all around.
David, will you be touting for work with the The Sun? That's a paparazzi lens
..... only joking .... I'll get my coat
