As I said earlier, it was built for Queen Elizabeth 1 by The Earl of Essex to enable her to cross the river & hunt on the Shugborough estate, the ancestral home of (now deceased) Lord Lichfield.
Oh, it's come out now, I tried turning it but it obviously hasn't. (the poles are the base of a raised bed), so please lean to the left!!. Cobweb earlier in the year.
