I used to grow them but then realised that they were of no purpose to pollinators so I grow colourful annual wildflowers now where I would have once grown Bizzie Lizzies etc.
I also remember when the trouble was a few years a go and they were all dying I presume that also put a few people off.

I am so going to be a "Macro bore" this Spring & Summer
A harbinger of spring...my 10ft tall camellia 'Water lily'.
Nice pics, KEF......."I am so going to be a "Macro bore" this Spring & Summer "
Why not? You're good at it.
Oh little-ann
who's she got her eyes on?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Awww she looks very sad and lonely, looks like shes lost and looking for her mummy
Do any Camelias have perfume? They look so beautiful, but like the Peonies I know, no scent...like a rose with no perfume.
Ann, great pic.
KEF - Sadly, me camellia doesn't have any scent.
