18.1C outside here just now - I've put the hedgehog food out, filled their water bowl and closed the doors on the mini-greenhouse a bit.
Lambs' liver, with bacon, balsamic onions, polenta and crispy fried sage leaves has been eaten, my feet are up, Campari and Soda by my side and I'm waiting for Chelsea to start ..........
Folks, if the PMs are playing up you should email the web team and let them know it seems to be related to the big advert in the background [email protected]
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
KEF - yes my neighbours chickens would get quite foul when they weren't cared for but I found when I looked after them for a few months we never had any problems with smells or such like. The worst bit I found was keeping the coop from becoming a mud / poo bath come autumn (actually the worst is when you watch a chicken run through the cat flap to gobble all the duck and turkey cat food! They went mad for it! Fighting off anything that got in the way).
Apparently my vegetable garden is having a picket fence around it! Lucky me!
Oh Clari, I love my picket fence that under-gardener and big boy made me, mine is stained green but the gate is a bit wobbly and needs some straightening and TLC
BL, I've not taken sugar in my coffee (only drink Darjeeling tea and that only occasionally) since I was 11 when I discovered that my Gardening Granny didn't take sugar and I thought it must be very grown up not to take sugar, and above all I wanted to be grown up ...................... I'm still waiting
Aperol and soda's very similar to Campari but without the bitters taste, and very cooling.

Clari can't wait to see your picket fence - will you paint it white?
Have weeded and added Nicotiana and Busy-Lizzies to the round bed under the robinia tree.
Howling gale now, storms forecast.
Mrs. Garden's mistake
made me laugh!
Dove can't take sugar in her tea, Campari and soda not sweet enough for me. Like white wine though, and Martini Bianco with lemonade.

Even after 40 odd years of not taking sugar in tea or coffee my Mum used to ask me if I wanted sugar.
