    Hello all.

First look at all the posts as have been a busy Allium this weekend. Finished off the raised border and planted out some of the beans that have been acclimatising outside for the past week.

Had a lovely visit to Mottisfont this afternoon. There was some lovely Irises and Aqilegias flowering. Looking forward to all the roses in full bloom!image

My washing line is the old fashioned line across the lawn type.

Hot here all day, reached _40 c in the greenhouse with the double doors open. I spent most of today either watering or drinking  long cooling drinks under the parasol.

The first sweet pea has opened and all the oriental poppy clumps have at least one flower open.image

OL, course I'm cute, and everyone should have one of me image Hope you and sis had a great time. Did you tell her about me?

I know what I meant to say earlier. . . when clearing out my bluebells I took a closer look at the 'climbing fuchsias' I planted last year to see how they were doing, if there was any sign. . . no sign of them, but in their place was a clematis! I did not plant this, I def planted the fuschia as they flowered last year. image My plants have transformed by themselves!

Secondly, my OH and big boy did a fab job of looking after my plants, a little bit of constructive criticism required to perfect it but on the whole very impressed!  I cannot believe  how much everything has grown in 2 days AND......my tomatoes have flower buds, whoop whoop whoop yippeeeeeeeeeeeee image And I have the first 2 red roses of the year image Oohhhh it's so exciting image

Gosh - everyone's plants seem to be flying! My sweet peas are still thinking about things and have just started to grow up the bamboo cane. Think it will be a while before I get flowers!

Spring sown sweet peas soon catch up with autumn sown ones. The ones I have in bud germinated in the pod, so I put them in  some compost and neglected them for the winter. The new ones are catching up fast.
