My plan to avoid the cup final did not work. . . thought kick off was at 3, and as I was leaving OH informed me it was 5 Still, popped in and bought 6 pink echinacea, 4 geums, 2 yellow and 2 orange (borisii), and a climber (Lonicera japonica Halliana). All for £23.50
Hi PD, take it eeeeasy, as Dylan would say, and dont forget your theraputic walks.
fairy, young fairy doesn't need to do exams, she's already made it as a chef, when's she gonna be on telly ( and earning her daily bread and your crust)!
Gorgeous day. Pottered a bit. Popped some alpiney things and semperthingy in pots attached to the totem pole, well we can see how it goes. Had another shift around in the compost, just got clay soil in there as far as i can see :-S hmmm.
Pie n chips cooking for al fresco meal. I'm sure a nice drop of vino will bring out the flavours ( but not as well as the Henderson's). Only allowed for the sheffielders though.
Sunny but still quite windy. Spent most of the day in the flower garden. Planted annuals and a few perennials, such as penstemons from cuttings and salvias from plug plants, in all the gaps in the middle bed where there were tulips and daffodils. But found evidence of mole tunnelling Weeded round the sundial and dug up the old violas, planted blue farinacea salvias and yellow limoncello petunias, grown from seed.
Glad to see you puncdoc, relief that you are still alive.
Yummy looking cakes, Fairygirl.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
That'll fill a gap while OH is cooking supper .................................
I've just had the sprinkler on the veg patch - the garlic looked as if it might need it, so I thought that I'd give everything a good soaking - the ground's nice and warm and I've sown lots of seeds, so warm and wet is just what they need at the moment
Have a lovely evening KEF
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Panda glad you had a lovely spend on plants, were any for your lovely stand?
What a beautiful evening again, think I'll sit outside for awhile with a glass or two of vino

No plants for the stand yet. Haven't decided what I want for it yet.
