Morning all. Don't know if its the calm before the storm, but what a beautiful sunny day here in sussex. For some reason forgot about clocks, remembered all day then went completely out of my mind. Need to rake grass again for acorns, there can't be many more up there surely.
Callm here, but not expected to get bad til tonight. Panicking a bit as littlest chicklet is off to the Isle of Wight for a couple of days, leaving this afternoon. Know it is not much of a "sea voyage" and they will cancel the ferries if it gets rough, but would still rather have my brood round me if there is going to be a drama.
going to cut down some of my taller perennials today - save them getting flattened.
stay safe peeps, and keep in touch as the storm progresses
Seem to remember that i promised you pics earlier in the week - so here goes.
my pyracantha red saphyr
And here is oh's welding triumph - a versailles planter made from metal ( its meant to be rusty!!). Just need to squeeze the original pot in (rim shaving planned)
Overnight I seem to have become the target of a fairly vitriolic pm from a name i dont recognise which seemed to suggest that I was a major part of the problem and not someone trying to solve it { which I thought I was doing }Now I am old enough and ugly enough to take care of myself, but for those of you who may be a little more sensitive be warned.
Love to all the decent, friendly people who make this site a light hearted informative place to be. There are some genuinely good people on here who impart knowledge and try to help people going through difficult times. I had hoped that I was one of these people, but maybe not.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good Morning everyone... nice day here, so far. Have watched the "Saints" steamroller Fulham twice on the highlights. Good way to use up the extra hour in bed. Off to Village shop soon to tie down anything that moves. I am hoping the Met office is erring on the side of caution, but it is still going to be a difficult time for all. If you have to go out tomorrow , please take care.
Punkdoc ignore ignore ignore lets send the trolls back to where they belong ( underground) on the upside pm is working again... Chicky blustery here also have to say great drying day ...... my job made the news the other day hurrah total of 26 arrested country wide..... Not even a drop in the ocean but every little helps

Where abouts are you, any where near sussex?
Tried to PM you mrsgarden but still won't let me send messages. I agree with you, and I usually do just that.
Still sunny here so i'm off in the garden while I can to rake acorns!
