    Morning all image

Not sure I'd chance the washing here Dove, big black clouds are looming overhead, but so far no rain.

The weeds are calling me so guess what I'll be up to today image

    good catch Doveimage

Panda, just think what little treasures you can reveal once the weeds are no longer hiding them -  or how much extra planting space you will haveimage

Its near Oldcotes Mrs G so perhaps a little out of your way. Shame though because the pond specialist just up the road is fantastic quality throughout and I'd recommend them to everyone!

Panda - while uprooting the outofcontrolus alloverthebloodyplaceus on Saturday I found:

    - what looks like chives

    - three tulips that had been tangled under the leaf spread but still managed to flower

    - something I can only describe as sharpus ouchus

    - that the resident robin is a cheeky devil who will push you out the way to get to the worms you've just uprooted

    - a patio slab!!

I've been out to the GC. They had just what I wanted, packs of 3 different variety courgettes, including 1 yellow one. Also got Roma tomatoes, had to buy 6 only want 2, now have 33 plants of various sorts. And OH isn't that keen on tomatoes! Bought sweet peppers and cucumbers, a lovely gold and green hosta (Brim Cup), a pink and white Delosperma, bag of organic fertiliser, Gardena hose connectors and a bag of MP compost.

In for lunch but have to go back soon. Very windy and none too warm.

Clari - re the water mint - make sure you contain it. It's like it's border cousin. We had a huge corner of it in the pond at last house. Whoever planted it knew what they were doing though - it was inside about four tractor tyres - but it still managed to escape a bit! image

My DD is covered in big buds so hoping it will look  good soon. It gave a decent display last year and it was in a pot - got it in the 'sad'  corner at GC for a few quid. The new ones are in little 4" pots - around a foot high MrsG so they're going into the deep plastic pots you get more mature plants in. I'll keep them there for a while to let them grow on and then put them out where they're going.

Doc- that's what you get for eating all that pasta....imageimage

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Fg, will they stay out in thier pots over winter? fleece? GH? or left alone? I have some planted and some in pots, new this year.

BL - the hosta sounds nice. I love min ebut have never found another I like more so just keep dividing it, I should post a pic for ID.

Chicky - think it was you... Clem Ernest markham? Mine's growing quite well but still very small, bought late last year I think, not seen it in flower yet.
