I've been out in the garden this afternoon spreading rotted horse poo about (or pony poo in my case). Ii's lovely to do things outside. I keep waiting for the cold frosty weather to arrive. Do you think we've escaped it this year?
Fairygirl - bdooly stuff gets in the way sometimes doesn't it
Punkdoc - that will have blown a few cobwebs away then Love lapwings - we get a lot of them overwintering on the coastal fields around here - and of course flocks of them following the plough - bird of my childhood on the farm
That Mrs Ranicar, she'll go off with anybody won't she??????
Verdun - did you hear GQT - they were talking about the importance of 'potting on' at the right time.
Bob Flowerdew was also talking about getting ahead using his polytunnels - picking sweetcorn in May??? !!!
Also some tips for those with waterlogged gardens, and they're going to do a special soon on gardening after the floods !
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hi fidget, Pam and KEF. Hope you two had lovely birthdays - did you keep me some cake?
I don't ask for much
You're in luck fidge - the wand's just been serviced and has some supercharged new powers....
We had a little sun today - briefly - before the lashing rain came back on. Very soggy here still but the days are lengthening so spring will be here soon
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fidgetbones - i've also got some Aquilegia seeds from Touchwood too. The first seedlings are just starting to appear. Its the first time i've grown Aquilegias from seed. Really pleased they have started to shoot.
Garden girl- be interested to hear how your trip goes to Little court as it within reasonable travelling distance of me.

Fairygirl, we have little job for you and your wand.
Hi Fidget,
Just back from M's, been clearing beneath shrubs and moving leaves from borders. Been nice in the sun but a blinking cold wind.
Apart from planting hellebores, I spent most of the day in the greenhouse. I'm now soaking in the bath.
