As Fidget said - they're just plastic / plastic composite with a reflective surface on one side hence why they don't break. Cheaper to make no doubt and of course lighter for that improved fuel economy.
I've had ear ache since I visited the doctors on Thursday morning and its getting worse. I really hope he didn't damage anything or push in an infection while he was poking about! I don't want Mondays test being delayed
Clari - can you take aspirin - it's anti-inflammatory properties are sometimes enough to sort out an imminent ear problem for me if I take some in time.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Yeh Clari, home time Hope your earache improves. Try not to concentrate on it (easier said than done)and it may just meld into the background. I had awful toothache last week - couldn't tell which side it was and now hardly a twinge. Fingers crossed for you (hugs)
Going to nip into the chemist on my way home Dove - I've run out of pain killers in my work bag aside from a Lemsip and I've been rather tempted to take that!
finally painted last part of arch no3...secured a tub into the old tree with rope (wisely waited for OH to be out of the way before using his drill for rope holes in the tub)...tied more apple tree branches across to hopefully train into an 'apple arch' ...while up the tree I crammed as much stuff in the tub as I could, osteosprmum to droop and cover the rope, heuchers for colour and a bit of height, grasses (v small atm), some margerites, and the bridal twig from a friend. it overcrowded but may the best man win! Just used what was to hand for now.
Clarington if you see this, Try Ear calm spray. Its got a weak sterile solution of acetic acid in (vinegar to you) and I find that when I am diving, if I use it at the first itchy bit, it stops full blown earache developing. Try painkillers as well.
When I was in Australia I noticed that the Australian Womans weekly (published once a month...what can I say) used to have a lot of gluten free recipes. You can search within their online pages.
Just had my dinner - kindly made by daughter while I cut the grass and did a few before the rain came on. Yesterday I noticed a load of little black caterpillars on one section of the new blackthorn hedge - torties or peacocks so it's lovely that the butterflies are making use of the new facilities already
Not had time to catch up on all the posts so will try and do that. Everyone's been busy, or ill, or getting/trying to get new jobs, or even gardening!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Potting up, potting on and watering today A bit of planting out too, including the bought runner bean seedlings - when planting them out I only came across one of the seeds that I'd planted that showed any signs of germinating. The seeds were probably a bit too dried out - I should've soaked them. Oh well, never mind.
I've decided that although my garden is quite big enough for me - I need more space for storing pots etc and a very large cold frame - do you think next door would notice if I moved the fence a bit?

Clarington, are you still doing gluten free?
