  • Hello folks - back from my Bus Pass adventure and the dentist - no pain from the journey or the dentist image

Panda, what colour have you decided on?

The sun is shining and there's a load of washing on the line - just popping out to put some post in the box ....

Thanks everyone, David Austin voucher on it's way to bro'. image

Didn't really fancy roses or other at GC, bursting out of their weed ridden pots.image

Gorgeous day here in Sheffield, sun still shining, no rain, moderate breeze on & off.image

Need to get cracking on HW (although only half hearted as OH not had time to finish new cupboard yet and still has some mess to make). If I get a move on my washing may get on the line like Dove's - WHY do I never, ever do it first thing (basic HW common sense!!)image

Later guys (including the female guys)!

Hi, been sunny & breezy and a pleasure to be outside. Even found a rose in flower ( on camera thread) but now spitting with rain and very windy. The difference a bright day makes. image

    Dove glad filling sorted.

Mrs Garden think it's too late to peg out, excuse the expressionimage. Bet bro' will be pleased with DA voucher. Did you go to the GC with the newish huge coffee shop?

Right suppose I'd better do a bit of HW until time to consider cooking. Knowing me I'll get distracted, doesn't take much. I might consider going and picking rubbish up from Clari's garden.image

  • Washing in and dry image  lovely to be in the garden even if it was blustery and a bit nippy - I nearly pruned the roses, but then thought, I'll do it the next nice day, and I came in and made a cauliflower cheese for supper image

Kef - no not the GC half way between us! Just the tiny local one hidden behind a petrol station, not great but like to do my bit to keep it going as very convenient (having said that I didn't part with a penny today).

MrsGarden will you PM me where that is, don't think I know it? Always keen to to buy at smaller places if I see something I like.

Nice walk along the river, even if we did have to go the opposite way , because the towpath was flooded along one section. The Trent was pretty high, and the golf course looked really nice, all the sand traps were filled with water, and the water table is so high, there were new lakes all over it. I presume all the golfers were at the 19th hole, none to be seen anyway.

I've removed the 7ft teasels, they were a bit battered by now. I noticed that weeds were germinating all over, mainly chickweed, but the dandelions are on their way up.

I hope everyone being battered by the wind is safe and warm.
