Good morning all Tipping it down here so no walking at the moment - I'm visiting my Aged Ps for lunch (chef is cooking Chinese as it's the Chinese New Year tomorrow). If it's dry I'll go for a walk along the harbour afterwards and buy some really fresh fish
I finished OH's sweater last night - thing is he's so slim, I knitted the smallest width but he needs some more cake before it'll fit properly - but it'll be fine with a jacket I've spent nearly 19 years trying to fatten him up but he's got hollow legs. Good job I bought some more yarn the other day - shall start a jumper for daughter this evening
Verdun - I like Peugeots
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'm the same as you Verd - porridge made with milk, but with bananas and blueberries just now. Or else wholemeal toast. Never eat sausages and loathe tomato sauce which my youngest eats by the bucket. I never really have bacon either, come to think of it. Brown sauce makes a good stock for mince or stew though. It's used for fish suppers on the east side of Scotland - you get asked if you want 'salt n sauce' not 'salt n vinegar' there. Always knew they were weird....
Not as cold as I expected this morning but it's dry - hurray!
Have a good day all. Off to work soon.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
A dry morning so I'll get out in the garden to try and keep 'cabin fever' at bay.
For those with itchy sowing fingers I've sown seeds such as beetroot, spinach and mixed salad leaves indoors to cut as baby leaves in a few weeks time. Also peas to use as pea shoots in salads. They are really tasty and you can use those dried peas from supermarkets. They are cheap and you get lots in a pack. I think it was Alyce Fowler that did this. It's a good way of using up opened packets of veg seeds and all sorts can be eaten as baby leaves.
