Thanks for the good wishes. OH has gone to choir practice so we ate early, lemon sole meunière with chips and broad beans (frozen from garden).

Tomorrow we will be eating on the ferry, hope it's hot this time image

Happy birthday to Mr. Wonky for tomorrow.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Short crust pastry on the bottom of pie plate.  Six butcher's sausages - take their skins off , combine into one lump and put the meat into the pie spread out with three hollows in it - break a fresh egg into each hollow - put shortcrust pastry on the top, slash, decorate and glaze and bake for 10 mins at 180C fan and then turn down to 160C and bake for another 25 mins.  Cool.

  • Dove  How do the eggs turn out? like runny or harder - sounds interesting may try that

  • They're cooked through - like a hardboiled egg. image

Good evening everyone image hope everyone has internet now image

Not sure if there was a conspiracy Lyn, but you never know! image read about David Cameron theory of if you want to deflect attention from one thing, drop a minor bloomer that everyone will be up in arms about and then twitter etc gets angry about the wrong thing! He calls it throwing a dead cat on the table, but that doesn't mean Hosta gets another quid! image

Kef, I like your theory that those with us that had internet were not worth the conspiring! image reassuring really image hope you get to spend your day off doing what you want as well as the necessary!

GWRS, think with the records its a collectable thing, artists like pink Floyd that have lifelong fans that are dedicated to the artwork as well as the music and want to own a physical copy instead of downloading ones and zeros! Don't blame them myself, I would never get rid of my records. OH is a DJ and although he's gone digital to play, he will never get rid of his records.... Hope you enjoy listening to yours, nothing like the sound of a record player! image

Now, I have a dilemma! image I don't know weather to go to Topbirds for the fishcake and salad, to BusyL's for the sole, or Doves for the pie! imageimage I can vouch for the pie Gardengirl, it is scrumptious, has been tested! image

Thanks everyone for Mr Wonky birthday wishes image its a busy month what with Dove, OH and forgot to mention dearest step daughter was 21 yesterday! And now officially far more sensible than us! image

Too cold to gate crash you lot for dinner so gonna throw some homemade pizzas together, keep warm all!
