Hi Bill, good to see you. How lovely so many people wanted to pay their last respects. I hope you and your wife are well. My very best wishes, take care.
Hi Tracey, hope all goes well with your blood test, take care. Nite nite.
Hope eveyone else is having a good eve
Philippa, thanks for the chocs, very yummy, and I eat all my dinner first.
Hi Bill, good to see you here, I have been thinking about you and your wife, I hope I never have to go through what you have. I'm glad your son is at peace and pain free and that so many people came to say goodbye, I hope you and your wife can take some comfort from knowing how much your son was loved by so many. Xx
As you can all see....I'm still here! Researching plants bought (and now planted), suggested plants on my border thread and 'window' shopping for a few more 'essentials' to fill it a bit more before I sow my annual seeds and plant bulbs and perennials. It's all coming together a lot better than I thought, THANKS TO ALL THE TIPS ON HERE
Fingers crossed for operation greenhouse at the weekend
Got back from meeting about an hour ago. Just doing some catching up
Bill, as hard as it must have been, I hope you got some joy knowing that he was so well loved and respected. I will be thinking of you and your family in the hard times ahead.
I really can't keep up on here. So much to read and reply to. So sorry about your son, Bill. I don't know the story, but it is not the natural order of things. I hope it is some comfort that he (and obviously you and your wife), were and are, so well -loved.
Tracey, I have struggled very badly with very low energy levels for years, especially in the winter. I do have a hormonal problem, but depression really becomes an issue over the winter mths. In 2012, it never really lifted at all. I believe that I suffer badly from SAD, as in the summer months I become an unstoppable 'whirling dervish', from dawn to dusk, and do not want to be interrupted to even eat! However, the doctors just say depression. A friend has been using a SAD light this winter, and reports very good results. And they have been talking in Scotland about possibly prescribing vit D tabs to everyone, due to low light levels. I'm now being tested for rheumatoid arthritis, due to pains in my wrists and thumbs, and some other symptoms, but I really think 'just' SAD in my case. I won't allow it to be anything worse! Desperately hoping for sun soon, to prove my case, as keeping a diary. I will be saving for a SAD light for my work area for next yr in hopes it will help. I hope your blood tests turn out ok, and with conclusive results.
For those who suffer from, or have family who suffer from ME, I really sympathise. it is one of those illnesses that is hard to diagnose and little understood, making it even harder for the sufferer and the family. It sometimes seems to come under a heading of 'no conclusive diagnosis, so that's what we'll call it', which makes things even harder.
On a lighter note - Where is this sun you have all been talking about? Any chance of sending a bit, if I pay the postage? I know it's something you need for growing plants, but can't seem to find it in any catalogue or on ebay- - - -
Anyway, as I can't keep up with all of your postings on here (so many in one day!), and have little to contribute, I'll just read now and again. There is so much on here that I want to read and learn, and so little time in a day. I would like to explore the whole forum, including old posts, so I hope you won't think me ignorant if I catch up with you all on other posts and leave this one alone for a while.
Bill, although I'm probably the only other one still up now, I would like to say that I am sure that would be ok. You know what a friendly, caring bunch of people this forum is. And I can't think of a better thread topost it on. I, personally, would like to hear it, if that helps, and I'm sure many others would, too.
