    Good day All

Have done that rare thing and attempted to tidy up one of the flower beds.

I chose the one where I could reach most of it without going in mud - or so I thought. Still came in with wet and muddy knees. Still it does look a little better though, and i\can't believe i'm saying this but in places the soil was too wet to weed.

Still it was good to be outside and busyimage

  • Hi Chicky... garden is largely a no-go area. Do more harm than good... whether wet or frost. Seeds started on window sills can get etiolated, so I don't do that either.

This time of year is for thinking, planning, scheduling etc.... all those things there is no time for in the summer!  imageimageimage

Afternoon all. I'm feeling very sorry for myself with a bad back flaring up. Good job I can't reach my wallet you've all given me such fantastic inspiration of plants I want to grow this summer this could get very expensive!

Hi all, think lurge is catching, only did a bit of weeding from path, and needed a rest ! Got an ache on my right side, lack of movement over Xmas me thinksimage Can't be stitch, haven't moved fast enough.

Garden totally sodden. Birds having a bath on the lawn.image

Clari hope your back doesn't flare up.

BFN, must sort out a meal, fish and salad to compensate for Xmas gluttony.

Nice day here, sorry Matty! But hope you get some good weather soon. Finished cutting the dead wood out of the Felicité Perpetué rose. In the end all the prunings came to 5 large wheelbarrow loads. 3 hours just disappeared!

Also groomed daughter's horse who'd been behaving like a hippopotamus in the mud and had given herself dreadlocks by rubbing her neck on a tree. Took a bit of time, but her mane is now silky and half the length. She was a fidget though. Daughter, a teacher, was sent to work in the North of France. No room for a horse.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
