I thought it was something to do with being in France that made it lose the sound, but if Dove lost it and some other friends, then it wasn't. All that talk about modern roses having repeat perfumed flowers and not a mention of David Austin.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Stacey, what a fab day, I now have toddler envy too
KEF, only ever assume that I know nothing!! Still not tested my soil but I think I'm right in saying that Azaleas and Rhododendrons like acid soil too? They are in the same border and I am going to feed them with some special food as they don't seem very happy! They don't get the sun first thing though so no worries there, it's about 10 ish in the summer before it gets over the house. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep my eye in it and may well end up repotting all 3 into pots if they don't cheer up
I'm off for Corrie and GW catch up, Friday is busy night with running to/from cricket practice. Night all x
Evening everyone, glad you had a good eve Panda, sounded like fun.
Stacey what a lovely day you had, bless her, bet she thoughly enjoyed herself, such special times at that age. Loads of wonderful memories, did you take photos.
Tracey,if you pm'd me I can't see them my laptop has died.
Hi everyone, just watched GW on sky +, blamed OH for losing the sound and then came on here and realised it wasn't actually his fault LOL......still he can stew seen as he showed no interest until the roses came on, I wonder why??? It wasn't because of the roses!!!
Anyway, I enjoyed the roses and as Mrs garden said, one of the roses one my wish list was one there because I remember my mum having it when I was little - Iceberg It's on my birthday wish list along with a rhubarb forcer
Lily, I haven't sent a PM, had every intention I'd emailing but got busy with work and other stuff, I'm ok and will try and email tomorrow but busy day.
Right, off for a catch up elsewhere then bed, early start for me tomorrow
Forecast isn't too wonderful this morning but a lot better this afternoon, so I'll do those jobs that need doing (hw and food shopping) and later I'll get outside - the herb bed is in the middle of a sort-out as the roots from the ash trees have invaded again.
I notice that despite all his big trees and high hedging Monty doesn't seem to hit a root every time he digs a hole hurrumph! - probably his soil is much deeper than here - I think we've got a layer of chalk fairly near the surface around here so our tree roots probably spread across the surface her rather than reach down ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Lost sound here too - subtitles didn't quite fill the gap - but loved the crocuses and the pulmonarias

We noticed the lack of David Austin mention too - but decided it was probably to do with BBCs ban on advertising ....
Yes Chicky the subtitles missed a big part thought they went off but no they were on
May be Iplayer has the whole thing in sound
I like the pulmonarias I have two plants this year
