Good to see you Panda - glad you had a better night.  image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Good morning all,

I have very lazily spent the morning chatting with our guests over pots of coffee, lovely people and so interesting, very well travelled, really enjoyed the company. Their little girl is also starting school on Monday at Charlie's school so they have now become firm friends and Charlie is going to be the official School Buddy/translator, bless him. image

So pleased to hear Hosta and OH are ok, what a relief. image

Lily, also glad yesterday went well, not easy for you I'm sure but nice to know it was done with thought and care.

Enjoy the football GWRS, hope it's not too chilly for you.

Right I suppose I ought to get some jobs done now. image

Have a good afternoon all. image

Afternoon all - quiet on here isn't it?

Glad to hear the Hostas  are OK - hope the situation doesn't interfere with their sunbathing and snorkelling too much and the hotel doesn't run out of gin image

Nothin' much to report here. Sunny morning but raining hard now. Finally got around to washing the kitchen floor - was going to do it as part of my pre Christmas big clean up but ran out of either time or (more likely) enthusiasm.

Nobody noticed & it's only because I could see a track of muddy footprints from the cat flap to the cat bowl that I decided it had to be done. It's been swept frequently but a mid brown wood floor doesn't show up the dirt. How much of a slovenly housewife am I???

I'm very bored right now and am bracing myself to do my tax return - but for now I think a cuppa & a slice of Christmas cake is calling a bit louder - SYL image

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Afternoon all image

Topbird, love your style of housework! I'm waiting for new kitchen floor that I was promised before Christmas so why clean it? image

    Good to see you Panda!

Been outside building a new catcave for Flatters. It is now complete and he is busy testing it! image just a wooden box bit bigger than a tea chest. Ceiling, walls and floor lined in duvet then sheepskin rug to snuggle in then a duvet draped over the top as extra insulation and tentflap style door! This is all housed in a large sturdy shed so not to shabby for a stray!

Pat and Dove, just heard from my bushfire escaping friend. They slept on a beach for a couple of hours after getting clear of immediate danger. They are now moving in convoy avoiding the fire and are now being led to a proper centre image thanks for the link Pat, helped stop me worrying image

T'bird - my kitchen floor is the perfect colour to hide dirt - stone tiles which are a sandy brown colour image

I do steam clean it occasionally - honest.... image

I just made some oaty biscuits - no cake left here image

I found a link online to the bush fires. Very sad, but they do seem very good at getting on top of it. Must be exhausting though image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I've got one of those floors tooimage.  Stones tiles of indeterminate colour.  Gets a mop swish once a week, but the rest is building up a fine patina, that I'm sure interior designers would kill forimageimage

Quick cuppa, then the deccy packing begins - can't see our table at the momentimage

Panda - hope your new fitbit (other brands are available) isn't doing more harm than goodimage
