Glad you're not in pain now Flowers. 15yrs, oh heck, that's a long time to be in pain must have been very tiring too. Was it back problems, you take care gardening etc.
Evening all. I had a quiet evening yesterday, Hubby was downloading some programs that he wanted to watch and our internet isn't up to doing two things at once ( bit like me nowadays).
I managed to get some weeding done late yesterday - it was surprisingly easy with wet soil. I had to tie my gladioli up because the rain had softened the soil and they had nothing to hold on to. It's given me incentive to keep going with the job today - it looks so much nicer when it's tidy. I need to ask Hubby to bring the trailer around to the front of the house so that I can empty the wheelbarrow loads into it - then it can be taken to the tip at some stage. At the moment it's parked down the hill near the hay shed.
hope all people with various health issues are feeling better.
No not back this time although I do have arthritis in my spine and osteoporosis in lower region. Had that since I was 20 ish so have learnt to live with it and get on with life, gardening gives my spine a good work out!
Kidney discomfort....all sorted...would do a big happy grin, but on tablet so can't.
Thanks for your reply and best wishes, very kind of you x
Yes, Star g l, I suppose so. Yet, in other ways we are going through similar strange weather events, like you, at the moment. We've also had flooding and people drowned in cars, etc. I noticed in the news last night the photos of the old castle being threatened with erosion from the floodwaters that was mentioned earlier on this thread. Also people are talking about planting seeds in greenhouses while I am picking tomatoes and beans.
Ive been thinking about the comments about homophobia. I think what puts me off about it is that some people have a sort of "holier than thou" attitude. and, do they think it's catching or something like that? It all comes down to accepting other people's differences, and being more understanding and tolerant of things around you. Their attitude makes me feel uncomfortable.
Evening all, I suppose most of you are tucked up in bed on a school night but just popped on to thank you for all the good wishes re Hubby. His appointment went well today, they are very pleased with him and they say his eyesight should show improvement over the next month or so.
Took all the deccies down today and gave everywhere a good clean, it looks really tidy and I do like having all the photos back that get put away to accommodate all of the Christmas decorations. Mind you I feel really shattered after all that cleaning.
Secondborn has a meeting with the seller re her house on Saturday to see if they can hammer out a moving date.
Sorry to hear you are having problems Hosta, just ignore them and enjoy your hols.
Glad you are feeling better Flowers, back pain is so debilitating.
After watching all the Star Wars movies over the hols ( run up to seeing the new one yesterday) I am now attempting to watch all the Harry Potter ones . Not doing too well , watched the 1st late this afternoon and tried hard to settle into the 2nd one after Silent Witness but really need some matchsticks to keep my eyes open and a neck brace to stop my head from lolling forwards! Decided that this would not be a good look so.......nighty night.

Your welcome Flowers x
Hi Pat, it does seem strange you talking about gladioli being in flower, when its so wet and dull here.
