Few fireworks here - we stood outside and watched them in lieu of partyingimage - but what a gorgeous, crystal clear, starry night it was image.  Could make out the rest of Orion, to go with his belt, which is normally the only bit I can recogniseimage.  Also finished the Christmas jigsaw .....very satisfyingimage

Planning another walk today (guess who got new walking boots for Christmasimage) then a meal out in the New Forest with Mr C's folks tonight.

Enjoy the first day of the New Year everyone ....start as you mean to go onimage

Happy New Year doc, may this year bring you plenty to smile about  - it's a quick run all the way to spring now! image

Is your MIL ok? Big stretch of the road to Braemar has gone. image At least there's a few reasonable detours.

Verd -I'd agree with Dove about the book - go to a big bookshop and browse - and take your time. You'll know when you've found the right one image

SGL image  I've spent far too many hours in life drawing studios to be impressed with many of them ..... however chaps never cease to be impressed by the one they've got ... the creator (whoever she is) was very wise and knew that they'd need something to play with image

It's a shame that most women prefer intellect, a nice smile and a sense of humour in men ... both in such short supply  image  image

Right, I'll put some garden shoes on and get my notebook and get out there and start counting ... don't think it'll take very long ...
