A parcel has just arrived. 10 plugs of Hellebore washfield doubles. I bought using Tesco vouchers tripled up. They wont flower this year, or next probably, but still I've got plenty of others to be going on with.

Now I really must stop buying hellebores. I forgot about these coming.image

By the kitchen door today. I try to put pots of irises high up so you can really appreciate the markings as you walk past.

  • Lovely Punkdoc - I've got some violas on top of the water butt by our back door for the very same purpose image

    Wish I was meeting psychopaths....image

Lovely pix pdoc. I love the little reticulata iris. One of mine opened the other day and I have three matching pots of them which I'll move onto the back steps so that I see them when coming in and out. I used to have some pots of them on the deck outside my French doors in a previous house. It was lovely seeing them every time I walked past going from the lounge to the kitchen. I do big pots of crocus so that they're at a better height to see them.

Despite the downpours of hail yesterday, and the snow coming tomorrow -  Spring's on it's way!   image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Lovely irises PD, im sure I planted some of those - you sneaked round my place did you?

Fairy - optimism indeed! You're in snow town anyway...we need to get it out of the system down here first (unfortunately) before spring shows her pretty little head ( oh - apart from at pd s where its arrived already!)
