Morning all. Bit wild out there - but not as bad as some of you will be struggling with. Hope it doesn't ruin your hair do Hosta
Horrible scenes from Tadcaster last night & it looks as though our old house in York will definitely have been flooded - unprecedented. So far all family & friends up north seem to have stayed safe & dry - but I think it's been a little too close for comfort for some of them.
Respect to your hubby and his colleagues Pat. Idiots and their fags ... grrrr
Hubby went back to work at 4am this morning - urrgh! I am off to see my brother & family in Norwich & he is cooking lunch. Will be nice to be waited on after the last week

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Laid up with this snotty cold. Determined not to have it as bad as OH, but since I ain't got work until the weekend, why not stay in bed watching two years worth of GW?
Have begun my yearly ritual of making plans to improve my borders in the new year. I have a large library of photos taken throughout the year to clarify gaps, colour clashes or in my case, mostly boring areas, where plants don't seem to set each other off. And some shrubs definitely need to get their finger out and grow a bit that would make a huge difference in the newer parts of the garden.
This planning and Monty will probably keep me busy until February when I'll be ready to begin the real work, in my part of the world anyhow
Glad everyone is safe and stays that way until Frank has slung his hook, not literally
Hello all. Frank has been - and seems to have gone - for the moment anyway. No t'interweb till now. Not too much damage here apart from the old side fence which I can sort later if the rain stays off. Thousands without power in the north west highlands and islands, and the north east, and people being evacuated in various areas including beautiful Ballater as the Dee has burst it's banks. Dumfries and the borders bad again too - hope Bushman is ok. 60 flood warnings throughout Scotland. I'm sandwiched in between all the worst areas here so got off lightly.
Hope everyone else is ok and hasn't had too much damage. I'll have to read back now that I'm online.
Pat - how can be people be so careless - do they just not get it?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
