Afternoon everyone, just chilling today and catching up on The Affair. Have checked the greenhouse and everything is OK, lots of unexpected flowers in the garden due to the mild weather. The most stressful thing I will do today is wash all the sheets. Hope everyone is OK, warm and safe. Bye for now.
Had to google Douglas Booth, never heard of him Agree Lizzie, does nothing for me either.
Poldark for me too, mmmm those eyes
RB, yes poppet is quite young, surprised us all. Think she thought she was rather clever too lol. Think she's going to like the sound of her own voice now she's started by the look on her face bless her. She'll be 6mths on the 3rd of Jan.
Bike ride was good - roads nice and quiet if a little muddy - only 12 miles but ooh aaah we could both tell that it was some weeks since the bikes had been out for a proper ride.
Just out of the shower - need to dry hair - then time to start stripping the turkey and making stock for lots of soup and using all the dark meat in a huge turkey curry - yum! Will also be making bubble and squeak patties out of the left over cooked veg. They're quick to make and freeze well. 15 mins in the oven for a quick carb / veg side dish when I'm in a hurry.
Then I'm gonna light the fire and sit and catch up on some TV. Then There Were None has been recorded along with a lot of other stuff, Only Connect & Christmas Uni Challenge tonight. Just as well OH is making dinner tonight (prawn stir fry to use up the uncooked veg - don't throw much food away here!)
Glad to hear GC have been entertaining you all over the last few days & hope all goes well for your 'event' Verdun.
Hope Fairy gets her walk tomorrow - it was good for us to get out and blow some cobwebs away today
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

am I the only one who prefers Douglas Booth ( the first to go)? Too impossibly handsome for his own good.

Douglas Booth is a bit too pretty boy, feminine looking for my taste, Hosta.
