tee hee Dove, I've been looking at that one. Did you just add the BBQ time in the oven?
No, but I think I probably rested it for at least half an hour covered with foil. It was so soft and melting - really good.
Think the silver nut dish etc may be in a box in the spare bedroom - I may try to find them, or as it's just the two of us here for Christmas, I may just manage without and find them when I sort out the heap of boxes in there that I've been meaning to sort for ages
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just had mulled wine, but we are an hour ahead of you. Going to get pizzas from man in the village, so don't have to cook tonight. Lost a pound on diet day yesterday, about to put it on again
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Just sat down at last but we have had a nice day. Market this morning, always meet lots of people I know and have a nice chat. Although there is a a nice, jolly charged atmosphere in the air there doesn't seem to be the pushing and shoving you get in the UK, everyone still carries on standing around chatting even if they are in the way. I must admit though I didn't go in the supermarket, might be different in there.
For the 1st time this year OH decided to come with me, just when I was going to go on a last minute present hunt for him, probably wouldn't have found anything suitable anyway but he has blown any chance now.
Picked Charlie up from his friend's house, had a sociable coffee and chat there and then some other friend's spent the afternoon here. All very civilised although the little sister preferred my company to that of the boys so we made a pom pom Santa together which involved me running around trying to find the appropriate materials and then she wanted to explore the garden - we found a couple of daffodils out there too.
I am taking my ladies jogging club out for a token gesture run in the morning, the back is fine if I keep moving, hoping it will be ok for tomorrow. As a little reward for them I am taking a flask of mulled wine with me, it might just be be midday before we crack it open - maybe.
Tonight, after I tidy up the mess from having 3 excitable kids here all afternoon, I am watching Luther and having a glass of red and maybe the odd choccie - someone has to eat them.
Takeaways are a thing of the past here, just too much trouble to find anywhere. There is an empty old restaurant in our village and I often think it would make a good takeaway/restaurant/tea shoppe/seller of all the things us English can't find here in France (and there are a lot of us) - OH tells me to "leave it" - he knows how sometimes I get carried away with my bright ideas. One day perhaps .......

mulled wine has fruit in it, doesn't it? Surely that makes it part of your "5 a day"?

Ooh, David, do you think it will be better than Luther? Perhaps a little less violent?
Luther's fab
But it doesn't have Idris Elba DD....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Found this other puzzle that was in the same vein as Panda's one ( by the same artist) You have to find the cat amongst the owls.
Hosta will be onto it right away in search of another pound...
