Lovely photos Fairy, but best enjoyed from the armchair (too cold for me).
Went to a Christmas Fair at Himley House today, didn't buy anything but enjoyed browsing. I always made my childrens clothes when they were small (sewing and knitting) and make curtains etc for the house. Haven't used my machine for a while now and because it was relatively new I have forgotten how to use all the embroidery stitches and what tension they need etc, unfortunately couldn't find the manual so have spent about two hours online tracking down a pdf. managed to get a download from an American site.
Need to browse the site and find out about Cannas now so I'll love you and leave you. Have a good night.
Cracking pics Fairy - wish i'd been there. Love a good walk on a cold sunny day
Instead, last nights frost finally inspired me to get the garden ship shape for the winter. GH and cold frame now full to bursting, and the steps are now leaf free.
Agree Adele was amazing. Looking forward to another evening in the Aussie Jungle
How's Mr chicky ? Hope he's behaving himself Short day because the access is right by the road, but a smashing little hill, and in that weather, you just can't beat it. Just across from Ben Ledi where I was a month or so ago. Didn't need crampons fortunately, but it's getting to that stage now so I may have to stick to lower hills unless I buy another pair. Met some nice people who were out too, so it took longer than it should have..
Jungle chicky...
Loads of buzzards looking for their last meal of the day when I was on the way back - one was sitting on the hedge at the roadside. Gorgeous Gritters were out too and it was below zero when I went for the 'slipper'. It was damn good
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Sorry Steve - I didn't see your post. It's Beinn Each, a Corbett (hills between 2,500 and 3,000 feet) on the east side of Loch Lubnaig near Callendar. If you look on a map of Scotland, it's between Stirling and Crianlarich. Great views across To Ben Ledi on the other side of the loch, and also to the Crianlarich hills. Always a bonus to see other mountains from the summit, but you need that kind of weather. It makes up for all the cloudy days when you see nowt!
It's warm when you're moving Yvie - you just can't stop for too long unless you get some nice boulders for shelter!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Best go for the fish slipper or I'll not want anything to eat at all!
Glad you liked the pix - I'll stick a couple on the camera thread at some point.
