Living in the depths of Cornwall we see very few ethnic minorities ( apart from the Cornish, sorry Verdun) but I do feel sorry for the majority of Muslims who are horrified by these attacks. Places like Sharm and Tunisia rely on tourists. We went to Turkey a few years and the locals were so friendly and loved our grandchildren and made such a fuss of them but I'm afraid I would hesitate to go to any Muslim country now.
Been out and about in our local town this morning, Charlie needed a haircut and then after we went to a lovely 'Salon du Madeleine Chocolat & Sucre Artistique', lots of tasting and bought some nice Christmas gifts. However, at both places there was a tangible mood of sadness and shock about what's happened in Paris, the hairdresser just kept asking 'why'? So, so awful.
Chicky, so sorry too to hear about OH and his rush back in, hope he is feeling better today and roll on the rest of the procedure.
Charlie off to a friends house for a sleepover tonight so we get to stay in a watch SCD in peace, without a small child giving us a running commentary and 'demonstrating' how it should be done - hurrah! OH did offer to take me out but tbh, a comfy sofa, SCD, a glass of red and a box of choccies suits me much better.
Nice afternoon here, might just get the rest of my bulbs in.

Miserable weather here - just popped to Waitrose for some tea bags and laundry detergent etc - had a look at the gin 'cos I noticed last evening that the level's getting a bit low - but no special offer on any that I like - anyone know of a supermarket doing reduction on Bombay Sapphire?

Thank you P Pam for confirming my suspicions on the effect immigration has had on rural Cornish life
Hi all,

We cannot keep terrorists out. They are already here and if the current lot go, they will be replaced by others.
A closed door policy, will not keep us safer, we need to ensure that we provide all means necessary to stop future attacks.
