Hello Verdun, I can't talk gardens I'm afraid cuz I can't see mine under all the house moving chaos and washing, but I do enjoy reading about yours!
Oh Verdun, we others do mention garden matters but we all know you are our 'go to' expert. And I am quite sure that if someone told you not to mention something you absolutely obeyed - not.
Hi WW, that took some feat of memory, good to see you on top form again (and wearing clean clothes).
Panda, it's very nearly Friday, two weeks under your belt now. Time to party.

Morning all. I've enjoyed your chat as usual. I don't mind what you talk about, but I agree that a real gardening problem is probably going to be more successful on its own thread. im still confused about the honey fungus stuff. I'll have to search other threads, but was too tired when I looked last night. And then, I couldn't get to sleep for ages thinking about it! Serves me right for reading interesting stuff before I turned the light out.
Our contrary weather is 8c this morning after having about a week of 30c. Lucky the plants are better able to cope than me.
We're expecting our Melbourne friends to re-visit in about a week's time. Not sure when to expect them as they are planning to stop on the way up here at Lakes Entrance for a couple of nights. Just a little indulgence, they say. Can't help thinking that they justify their little indulgence because they will get free meals here for a week. (I know that sounds mean spirited, but there you are, . I'm just a suspicious old lady). They are huge eaters, and I suspect they eat a lot of take away food at home, so they enjoy our more adventurous cooking. Ok, I'd better stop now. We do enjoy their company and have been friends for many years.
I hope everyone is feeling well and looking forward to the weekend. I think my GW mag is due to arrive on my iPad any day now.
I feel credit must be given to WonkyWomble for effort above and beyond the call of duty for the most inclusive posting ever on the internet. Bravo. Genuinely!
I can barely manage to remember what anyone posted even if I read back a few pages.
I have been known to jot things down before posting a reply, Steve - I can never remember what everyone's posted on previous pages. But Wonky's "nobbut a lass" so maybe her memory's not got full up of useless junk like mine
Pat, you must really like your Melbourne friends. I think they should take you and your OH out for a meal or two during their visit - maybe you should send me their email and I'll drop them a hint
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
