Turned a bit chilly now after a lovely sunny day.

MrsG there's no excuse for mil to talk to you that way, sending hugs x

Panda glad you had a good day, hope mines ok tomorrow image

Off to have eve meal TTFN

  • Oops, it's me, with cap in hand, on my knees, walking backwards, offering profuse apologies for ignoring my posting duties. Sorry everyone , but life takes some funny turns sometimes and one gets distracted.imageimage

Garden is making progress, with great spring plants, especially camellias, magnolias, and narcissi... all every bit as good as in previous years. I am now paying for regular help to get some of the back breaking jobs done, including hedging, ditching etc. Vegetable bed is full of gladioli (don't ask!), with broad beans trying to find space.

Have an idea for the large bed at the bottom of my garden which I have fallen out of love with. I think I would like a large terrace for pots, troughs and seats, all looking back up the garden, and over the paddock where the sheep currently reside. Apart from that I still have some tidying up to do.

There is also the annual Plant Sale in less than 2 weeks, which is when the hortsoc tops up it's coffers for the year. Good news is that we are increasing our membership, and meetings are going well. Annual outing, to Waterperry gardens, is already at break even point. Last year we made a loss.

That's more than enough for now, and promise to do better in future. Have to admit that I don't have time to catch up on my homework and read all your wise words over the past weeks, so please forgive me if I am not on track just yet.image

Just a quick pop in, frost predicted tonight for S.Yorks, so close GH's and move stuff that is hardening off, if you don't have a GH.

    Think all should check forecast.

    BFN.

Thought it was getting chilly out there! Hopefully all mine are now fully hardened but we'll see. I guess it's what we get after such a hot sunny clear day.
