Sorry Verdun, I got the scones back to front for Devon and Cornwall! Wikipaedia says there should be butter as well! OH would rather have Dove's cheese scones.
I'm glad you are a happy Womble
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Am I early or are you lot late? Trying to work it out - let's see, minus 9 from 6.45am equals 9.45pm. Right, got it! You're not late. Hubby is going chain sawing trees off motor cycle tracks with a mate today so we've got an early start. No doubt I'll have a long dreary day with no one to talk to.
This will give you a directory of all botanic gardens in Australia, so you can plan your drive accordingly. You will probably need to allow three days just for travelling from Sydney to Adelaide, without the stops for garden visits.
I have had a lovely day Got stuffed at lunch, and a bit squiffy
Took Ma to bingo - it was a charity night with a raffle, raising money for Mencap. She won and got two raffle prizes Me, I won nothing Kindly, she let me take one of her raffle wins
Thank you for all your kind thoughts
Congrats to exam takers, spesh mention for Chicklet
I am Punkdoc. Easy to explain as its 1.40pm here and I'Ve just come inside from hanging out washing. Sorry to hear about your back, can be a real nuisance, I know. I get a cramp down the inside of one leg without warning and it always catches me. I just put it down to one of those things I should expect at 75. I still reckon I'm doing better than my 80 year old sister who has had two hip replacements and one knee.
what are you planning to do when you get up later? Sitting around or trying to garden?
I've also put dinner in the oven - slow roasted shoulder of lamb with lots of chunky vegetables and some of my herbs. Smells good already. Hubby is away all day with a mate, so there'll be a quick meal when he gets back.
I might take a break now and read my novel. I'm re-reading Anne Perry's detective yarn about opium. Luckily, I forget how it plays out, so I enjoy reading them again.
