When r u going Lakes? have u visited Holehird gardens near Windermere village? its run by volunteers of Lakeland horticultural society, theres no entrance fee but ask for a donation, dont know if they ever lock the doors but weve been after reception is closed at 5pm and the electronic doors let u in, on website it says open till dusk, worth a visit any time of year, a lot of alpines, sometimes plants for sale.

Another garden programme on tv on tues, BBC2, Allotment Challenge, in place of the sewing programme, wud never have thought a sewing prog wud b so enjoyable.

  • Potty Gardener your garden is fantastic, and all in pots makes it more fantastic.

Dovefromabove the trees are on the next property and the owner and his son came over in January and removed all the large branches something he didn't have to do and I was so thankful.I will just clean it a a very slow pace.Every fall my Son would cover two fish ponds with leaves to insulate concrete ponds from cracking plus all the plants around ponds.Even though he was in a lot of pain ,last fall he covered the ponds.I have started to clear the leaves and this is what i have done so far.

That's one of the ideas Panda image With a little water feature, the friends we were at last night have an amazing pond and water feature......OH now thinking we might out a proper pond in next year image

I am putting one at the front if the house, one at the back and one possibly as a mini pond.  That is of course if they are all in ok condition, which we will see at approx 6.30 this evening image

Hope you're migraine has gone totally Panda, and don't worry about missing the day, your health is more important. I've missed it too but that's self inflicted!!  I did go to the gym for my review thought the instructor was very impressed we still turned up!!

Evening all. I have had a lovely day "pootling". One of those days when you have no idea where the time has gone, because you are not quite sure what you have actually done. I suppose I have planted a few more things from the greenhouse and moved a few plants to where I hope they will look better. Its what if I am being pretentious I call being artistic, others I am sure would call it something different.

KEF, just to make you more jealous, I now have 9 Meconopsis growing nicely, and, have potted on another dozen or so in the greenhouse.

Spicy meat balls and a robust red for dinner.

Hope you all had as nice a day as me.

How can you lie there and think of England

  • Hello guys. I'm new here. I'm a chilli fan from Waterlooville on the South Coast. Glorious weather! I hope you've all had a great day in the garden.

Glad you enjoyed your pootling punkdoc.

i am feeling grotty - temp, sore throat, shivery.  Tomorrow is the first day of my week off work, so feeling particularly aggrieved.  Meant to be going to Hidcote/Kiftsgate tomorrow - need to dig out the day nurseimageimageimage
