Must be something in the water I had a frock on earlier!  Took it off (put troosers on!!!) As its impossible to gracefully decant out of the Landy in a dress.

All the talk of proper Sunday dinners I have such envy! Not sure what we'll be having tonight til his lordship arrives and I find out how much junk food he's put away on his chaps weekend - he might be on celery! image

Lots of flies (okay - two big fat ones) keep buzzing around the house. I've cleared all the dead bodies away but if anyone knows of a natural way to deter them I'd be very grateful!!

OL expect a pm from me when they start working again x

Thunder storm happening with water butt filling activity going on - lounging on the terrace has ceased and I'm on the sofa with the athletics and some knitting.

All the house plants (succulents) have been put on the terrace table for a bit of a wash image

I'm wearing a frock today, coolest thing when hot. Been doing HW in it.

Was going to do the ironing in front of Escape to the Country, but had another huge storm and signal went. The dog is a quivering wreck - again!

All this talk of frocks - i'm in dungarees with the legs chopped off to make them into shorts.  Very fetching. Chicklets bundle me into a cupboard if anyone comes to the door image

Too hot to garden - got the first bit done, but the second will have to wait til this evening.  Good load of stuff for the compost heap generated alreadyimage.

Bekkie, you've probably looked it up by now, but souvlakia are greek kebabs. When we went to Crete years ago there were little roadside stalls selling them, smelt wonderful and herby.

Don't wear shorts anymore, skin on thighs not wot it used to be!

I shall be very brave, this is what I find comfiest in summer. But Dove, Panda, Nut et al have been brave in their garden visiting photos.

Meant to say - there is a thread called Perennials taking over all about gardening in France that you might want to take a look at - about 3 pages back now.
