Roast pork and loadsa crackling, baby carrots, baked apples, runner beans and new potatoes with sage and onion gravy - and a bottle of Sauv B - not entirely on my own, but I think I'd better doze now - see you in the morning folks

Goodnight all. Managed to watch GBBO tonight, love it & feeling smug cos guessed winner & loser.
Also feeling a little worried because good friend in U.K. is feeling very down; such a lovely chap but can't get a girlfriend for love nor money & at 38 feels he has missed the boat. Spoke to him yesterday, not good, and now after half a dozen messages no reply. I am just hoping he has drowned his sorrows and is sleeping it off, you couldn't wish to meet a nicer chap, so very, very sad for him.
Cat is now insisting on a cuddle so have to go, catch up in morning. X

have a good journey home this morning ....if you see any Queen Mum agapanthus on your travels could you pick me up a couple. Wisley yesterday convinced me I need some light blue ones to complete my collection
Off to the mines myself ...but only a 3day week this week .....it will be over before its begun.
jollies sound fun, both Panda and Fairy - are you counting the "sleeps left" yet??
I've been watching the sun come up - it's been beautiful with pink streaks right across the sky. It's really warm already almost 16C, and I think we have another beautiful day ahead of us.
While I was cooking supper yesterday OH asked if I'd like him to mow the lawns? We decided not to do the back lawn as it has lots of white clover blossoming and the bees are loving it, but the front lawn was badly in need of a tidy - it had suffered badly in the last hot dry spell and stopped growing for a while so we'd just left it alone, then the rain we had last week perked it up but it also perked up the yarrow and the coarser grasses which have thrown up seedheads so it all looked a bit scruffy - as it's still very dry we raised the cutter bar and OH gave the lawn a quick once over - it looks so much better as the dry brown tips have gone and the grass looks much greener
Oooh, morning Hosta, morning Chicky - you snuck in while I wasn't looking

Good morning. Hope you find some lovely agapanthus Hosta. Mine is just beginning to open now and should be out when I come home next weekend. Off down the M6 this morning.

Off to "work" with OH, then back home to sunny ( ? ) Devon.
Popping into an agapanthus nursery on way home, Wonder if they have sticky labels there?
Been lovely to see everyone up here, but can't wait to get home.

Have a good day
I don't think I'll ever have to worry about my grass not growing, unfortunately.
