Thanks for the welcomes ......feels good to be home. Rained all day here, and soooooo cold too. Still, don't go back to the coal face til Tues, so might get a chance to get out in the garden for a spot of pottering tomorrow.
looking forward to catching up with all the GW and Beechgroves I have missed this evening
8 hour shift at work, starting at 8am, with only a 15 min break all day, then home , change and go help OH ( who has been pretty sick all day ) line some walls for a neighbour as he had to finish it to-day or he'd not finish by the time the neighbours come home on Tuesday.
On second thoughts - I went out for a while and it was the dizzy heights of 13 degrees....what's that about?
Steve - know what you mean! It's a lovely shot though. I spent ages yesterday trying to catch a pic of a little butterfly when I stopped for a break. Soon as I got the camera ready he'd fly off. Then I'd try again - had him in my sights and all set up - and off he went. Umpteen tries but no joy. Going across the moorland where I took the pix of the orchid, a little dark one followed me the whole time....just taunting me
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've read back and retained most of it but it was party night last night!
Welcome back Chicky! Sounds like you had a lovely time! Fascinating place and history!
Glad Mum and foot are improving Lesley!
Friend came down from Liverpool, only happens twice a year, house party at ours, homemade pasties and coleslaw and garlic bread then dancing, DJ's and disco lights until 6.50 am! went to bed at 7.30 am, last people left at 1pm and hubby came to bed....excuse me if I feel a little on the drag!....nearly typed morning all!
Proud that I managed to hawl myself to get cat food from the range, fifteen minutes before all shops shut! Didn't even go in the plant section so you know I'm knackered!
Need to eat food, drink stuff that's not beer and brandy and sleep and then be on a train to Bressingham gardens in the morning!
Have a nice evening all see you on the train Panda!
Rained in bits today went around Millers pond doing the litter picking this morning, a white duck has appeared on the pond free lunch then back home rest and sort out bits for BBQ and quiz - tricky one this time weather was ok for BBQ they had marquee tents up and got to have our picked yummy burgers and bits
So still quite a few shortbread biscuits left - nibble time biscuits all round

Evening all,
Had a lovely little break in Sarlat, albeit camping for a few days.
Yesterday back to the B&B at full pace, just in time to welcome guests and get dinner ready for them all.
Today hacked at hedges which are trying to take over and got very excited to see rain, unfortunately only lasted 5 minutes.
Shadow hassling for his evening walk so will check in with you all tomorrow.
Good night.
If it's rain you want, DD, there's plenty over here at the moment.
