I'm glad you had a good holiday, Chicky. I love Italy too.
Wow Fairygirl, grass never looks like that in SW France. This is my grass at the moment.
Lunch went very well, forecast was wrong again, no rain - think it's just wishful thinking. Warm, had lunch outside, cold salmon, cold chicken and a selection of salads. But after lunch I found a tomato, mozzarella and basil salad still in the fridge. Oh well, we'll have it tonight!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It's very new grass BL - we've had even more rain this summer than normal so I sowed it about 4 or 5 weeks ago. The last two years were very hot and dry (for Scotland anyway ) normally we're lucky if we get more than a couple of dry days in a row
Our grass rarely looks like yours! It's amazing how quickly it recovers after rain though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Spectacular view of the Needles the other day. The engine wasn't working (still) and OH wanted to see them from close up so we took the ferry and drove.
However, the day before on a walk from Keyhaven to Hurst Castle...
Just about energy enough to type, watching Penny Dreadful in bed...
Raining most of the day today, my takings are down due to the lack of picnics and barbecues although the cookie sniffers will be out and about later so still had plenty to bake.
I did read back the three pages, nice wall from Panda, a beautiful fence from Fairy and a Italian ruin from chicky covers it on a more serious note I'm glad Lesley's mum and the foot are doing alright

You better believe it Steve

Good stuff, weather. We do complain but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. What would we talk about?

STILL raining, it hasn't stopped all day!
At least the water butts are filling up!

Changeable is the only way to describe that Steve

Have you found it Fairy? Not technically my wall, but was pleased to see it in London, was very welcome
I realised as soon as I looked back Panda
but in my defence, Ggirl had then posted pix of shortbread

I'm cultivating a similar effect on my back fence
