Well done with the cheesecake Verdunimage.  That happened to me in a jewellers a couple of years ago.  I saw a beautiful necklace that was ideal for a birthday present in the window and went in to buy it.  At the till I nearly fell down when they told me the price.  It turned out that they had put the bracelet price on the necklace in the window by mistake.  They honoured the price tooimage.

Lovely sounding plants Winter.  I like the fact that you always have a planimage

Well done at the car boot Pauline.  Avoiding temptation is not easyimage

Forecast was right! Turned out to be a cracker of a day.

I had to abandon the tunnels as they were too hot in which to work.

Caught a few rays this afternoon on terrace and took an Old Speckled Hen to keep me company as I watered.

OH home until a week on Sunday, fingers crossed for help in garden.

Enjoy the lovely evening one and all.

    Devon.

    Lovely day today.

I spent most of it chopping stuff down, feeding it through the shredder, and filling compost bins. Hot and sweaty, I'm going to soak in a bath.

Beautiful day here, I've spent most of it in the garden.  I'm getting it all ready so that my friend will not have too much to do when she moves in while I am on hols.

Washing all done just need to do the i*****g now - hate it.

Looks like we are having decent weather for the rest of the week.

Work over, grass cut and edged, and barbecue cooked and eaten. Oldest fairylet now has a pavlova in the oven  image

Bushman, thanks but been there and have the t shirt image  I can't tell you how much Jeyes fluid I've gone through - doesn't make a blind bit of difference image

Julia is a very handsome clematis W'song.  I've been looking at Taylor's and have a few in my basket....image

I can recommend Niobe too. Gorgeous velvety flowers and covered in them right now.

    Smashing bargain Lesley image

It's funny how some plant names just seem to be everywhere, proving their worth by being so popular image

I will no doubt end up with Niobe also since there are areas of my garden that really need a pop of colour

One thing though, this year is the first time I've ever had any Vitacella Clematis and I want more but I'm surprised Mary Rose has such a tiny flower, I'm guessing that species makes up for it by covering their support and being long flowering?

Just phoned mum. She got scammed on the phone by a man purporting to be from British Telecom. He said the payment had not gone through. She said it must have its on direct debit. He said just give me the bank account number so I can check we have the right one. As soon as she put the phone down she realised what she had done, so went to the bank and froze the account. Now she has to change all the standing orders to a new account.image

British telecom have confirmed it was not them, they don't ask for bank account details.

I dont know how gits like that sleep at night.

I had  someone ring today and ask for me in my old married name. I haven't gone by that name in 20 years.  No one here of that name says I. Oh sorry, he said and put the phone down.imageimage

Mary Rose is one I've earmarked too W'song. image  I think they're really prolific but the flowers do look really small and neat. I liked the double flower as it was different.  I have Constance which has a bigger flower but it's covered in spring and the seedheads are glorious.

fidget - they are the scum of the earth and should be jailed - indefinitely in  my opinion.

Hope you're mums ok fidget. Hugs. Wonder how they'd feel if it were their mums getting scammed image

Been hot and overcast all day, had a bit of a downpour this afternoon. Hope weather improves tomorrow.

Cut grass and did edging this morning.

    Time for a cuppa.
