Are your thousands of punk ladybird larvae still munching aphids?
I've just summer-pruned the gooseberry bush and picked half of them, leaving half to ripen. It's a third year bush and we've got loads more berries than ever before. It's quite a complicated bush to prune as it's very lax and the branches try to sprawl across the ground.

I'd go with it being a good day Wonky Well done on the prize and on the interview call (I'm getting blasé about these, had one today, phone rang just as I was finishing in the bathroom ) hope this means an interview proper
Hope Fairylet enjoys her prom Lovely to see them all dressed up Littlest chicklet's is next Friday - in fact just been getting toenails painted in anticipation. ( I joined in - prom Mums have to flaunt their toes too). Chicklet has one the week after, but my sewing machine requires an outing for that one...not quite the right fit yet
Looking forward to meeting you too Ggirl ....we should be there about midday, so 1pm at Woody's sounds a perfect plan. Will PM you my phone number just in case plans change.
Great prize Wonky. And welcome Dacha - love that fire
Power surge locally knocked out phone lines, = problems with computer info, so tills not working properly, cards being declined for no good reason, huge queues and the poor drivers only left at 4 pm to start deliveries as they all had to be picked and logged manually.
Colleagues starting work at 4am tomorrow to start picking Saturday's deliveries. Just hope it's all back working again.
Oh prepared a lovely lunch as I'd invited one of my colleagues to join me for lunch. Powers that be" said we couldn't both be off the dept at the same time. So I sent her on alone. Not quite as planned, but hey ho.
Having a well deserved Old Speckled Hen to calm down.
Oh dear Hosta - that sounds an absolutely terrible day ((hugs)) Enjoy your Old Speckled Hen - is there a second? Think you deserve two. My OH likes an Old Speckled Hen from time to time but this evening he's having Badger's Golden Champion
