I just think it looks a bit rubbish and looked better when it was just doing it's own thing all over the place!!!! Maybe it's because I've cut it back a bit and hopefully when it grows and I can train the new shoots it will look ok.

I presume you've fed it rose food MrsGarden?  I've never fed any of my plants before this year (except my orchids of course image) and I can't believe the difference in them already image

Thank you ladies, as long as your sure and not just being kind, I'd rather know the truth image I am actually going to buy another 'obelisk' (they were only £6 in wilkos) for my new Iceberg rose, but that is still small so will be easy to train as it grows....which is what I should have done with this one.

We now have a red rose and a white rose....to keep both sides happy image

OL it's going to be fine - try to train the new shoots around rather than up and then it'll fill the 'obelisk'.

Evening all. Early tomorrow going to see daughter in north of France, nearly 7 hours journey by train. So have a good weekend, see you on Tuesday.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
