Had a bit of a lie in then spilled my coffee on the duvet image  Car still at garage - expensive part needed!!!  Good job I bought the shoes yesterday, before I knew about the car image

Think I'll make some scones later on - some plain, some cheese ones as well maybe - we can have them this afternoon when we stop for a cuppa image

Hefty's eaten all his supper image  Sun is shining, bed linen in the wash, toast and marmite eaten, another coffee needed, shall I make a big pot or a small one?

    Morning all.

Ground here still saturated after Mondays rain, so stuff will have to stay in greenhouse longer, which means other stuff will have to stay on window sills a bit longer, and that means no more seed sowing, and OH will complain about the mess. It is not easy being a gardener.

Heron on the pond this morning as I squelched round, should have worn wellies, as now got cold wet tootsies.

Hope all are well, and that the workers stay calm and happy.

Hope the car is not too expensive Dove, otherwise those shoes will have to go on ebay. I hope OH does not read this otherwise she will be wanting to do her Imelda bit.

Verdun I love your idea of coordinating the washing with your plants.

Tea for me please Dove. Not good news about car expense image

No sun here as yet, cool wind.

Today is SM day, wish it was yesterday again, had a lovely time at Botanical Gardens with MrsGarden, some dodgy plant pronunciation from us both, and a desire to dig some plants up and bring them home. We did consider sneaking into "private" area where new plants were kept but thought better of it. Had cake instead. Had a nosey in MrsG's lovely garden, she has put loads of work into it and has lots of ideas and plans, plenty of seeds on the go image  I just hope those arches are delivered on 18th.

Better go and finish the shopping list. BFN.

Shoes can't go on Ebay Doc - old ones have already been thrown away - Dove's not daft!!! image

Verdun's not the only one who hangs 'arranges' his washing according to the plants - my jeans look marvellous hanging above dusky plum tulips image

Morning all, Edd you were up late and the rest of you were up bright and early image I've had a bit of a 'lazy' morning seen as I was out at 6.30 yesterday!! Thanks for the coffee Dove, just what I needed image

A bit grey here but not too bad and signs it may just brighten up later, I'm working anyway so not overly important until tea time!!

Dove, looks like it's a week for shoe bargains.  Little man has received an email from Adidas giving 15% off all orders so am ordering the trainers I have been undecided on (due to cost) and also ordering his birthday present image

Sounds like you had a lovely day KEF and MrsGarden image

Have a good day at work everyone, especially Lily and Panda, keeps those smiles on image

Ok got it - dove ; shoes ; Imelda. Sorry took me a while. Got a fish called Imelda (because of her shoes!) and another called Jimmy.

1 bunch of  'crispa' from GC, thanks to Dove, floating pond plant, some will also go in fish tank indoors.

    What's pond soil???

KEF - arches WILL be delivered on 18th or I will cry so much my micro pond will overflow!

MrsGarden, I've posted on your Hydrangea thread, not going to order the GW oneimage

Pond soil is gritty soil for planting pond plants in, very low in nitrogen so it doesn't encourage the water to go green.  Pot the plants in baskets or 'pond socks' or similar, top with gravel to stop the pond soil turning into mud and floating away. image

Thanks Orchid, not sold on the glam rock as yet, but love the pics. let me know what you see at GC and how it looks.

Thanks for explanation Dove, will stick with the floater (oo err), don't think micropond will have room for anything planted but I'll keep an eye out for green water etc.Any problems - I know where to come!

    Hi guys,

Sorry for crashing your thread with my rant last night but had taken time off work for the pergola delivery and the no show with no explanation really got my goat.  It's turned up today apparantly (without me there) so plans back on track.  Looking forward to friday off work to plant a rambling rose and couple of honeysuckles I've got ready.  Sounds like you are all enjoying the sunshine today.  Sigh - I'm stuck at a computer at work, and bemoaning that my whirlygig postioning choice neglected to consider the opportunity to co-ordinate washing with plantings. (You lot are barking....) Thanks for making me smileimage
