Today is a special day. I am taking my fiance to vote for the first time, provided he gets home from work early enough.  He has never voted, since he thinks all politicians are pigs with their noses in the trough. I have always voted, I had it drilled in to me at my all girls school, that women died so that I could have a vote and look after my own money.  We are in a marginal constituency, so every vote counts.

I hope he doesn't vote opposite to me. I'm sure that's what my mum and dad did for years.image

Beautiful sunny day here. I want to get in the garden but I'm waiting for the parcel I missed yesterday.

I wonder if a note on the front door to ring me would work?

Good morning, lovely and sunny here, hoping it stays

news from the Hong  Kongers at 3 am, all went well, no issues with Aeroflot . Another at 3.30 to say they were all loaded, pets too and ready for take off! Phew!!

Hopefully all will go smoothly on arrival in Moscow. S I l has to go straight to work as he two days late. So daughter has 11cases, 2year old and 3pet cages to transfer to new accommodation which they hope is ready and waiting

I will breathe again tonight. At least they are now closer and only 3 hours difference!

so looking forward to getting into the garden today. Nothing will make me feel betterimage

    Thanks for concern

It's worth a try image  or even a note saying 'come into the garden and give me a holler!' - our postmen here are really helpful, but where we lived before they never even tried to deliver a package - if it didn't go through the letterbox it went back to the sorting office - fortunately that was near my office image

Morning all. Nice day here - for now anyway image

Hope the knee is bearing up ok Hosta and the eye's improving RB.

I'll go and vote later with eldest daughter - she votes for the first time in a General election as she voted in the referendum last year. I have to agree with Verd though - not enough passion about their politics - no matter what 'team' they're on - and I think that's why the numbers get lower every time. Has anyone been watching Ballot Monkeys over the last couple of weeks? I was telling daughter about it and saying how funny it was but the disturbing thing is that it's also probably quite accurate!

Morning BM - nice to be welcomed back so warmly image

Off to see a friend this morning then hopefully a bit of gardening. Cut the grass last night after dinner but lots of things to do. Then an early night as I'm off walking tomorrow. Have a good day all image

Just saw your post LP. Glad all the family's safe image

  • Hello all, have just walked around the garden. How lovely and calm after all the winds... and the rains have added jet fuel to all the plants too. Lots of promise to come, as a lull sets in between the Spring bulbs and so on and the later summer beauties. Less than 6 weeks to Opening  and mainly tidying to go now.

Off to the West today, to go to Malvern tomorrow.image. Have no great list of things to get.... just to wander and grab what takes my fancy.
