Plans for today, planting three Juniperus Blue Star and three Euporbia purpurea (here's hoping I don't change my mind) oh and an established clump of Liatris alba that need more sun. Just figured out where that ones going image

Also have a post hole to dig, vet food to pick up and house tidying to do since we are expecting visitors at the long weekend

Dove, my daughter lived in Norwich for a number of years - a really beautiful city, I thought - and my principal impression of the weather when I visited was WIND.  Nothing to stop it, I suppose.

Dove again:  Re "English Lane":  it's in our (admittedly ancient) copy of "Congregational Praise".  It's always worth a look in a Methodist hymn book too, if you're stuck; they have loads of good tunes which might well include that one.

Well, off soon to see how Mum is doing.  Thanks so much again for all your good wishes!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I hope Lyn is ok to-day.

If anyone "sees" her, please pass on my best wishes.

Okay, everything is going to plan so far...finished front edge of large border in middle garden, going back out to touch up shade border in the bottom garden and re arrange a small planting I did the other day that looks well...pants really.

But! But...its getting there oh yes and I found the perfect spot for my troublesome Liatris alba clump. For three years its travelled round the garden not looking its best and finally, I've got just the spot for it. Isn't it weird how that happens, a plant can look fine or it can look amazing just depending where its put image

Ive been looking for the april fool in the newspapers. I cant decide whether its the multimillionaire hobbit who sends his kids to private school, asking us to vote labour. Or maybe the Getty grandson found dead, naked from the waist down, with blunt force trauma to the rectum, who apparently died of natural causes.

Or maybe it's the scottish woman who wants no cap on benefits, because its ok for someone who has no intention of working to have more money than a couple who each work 40 hours a week on minimum wage.

Maybe I'll just go and chop the heads off a few buddlejas.image
