Beaus Mum I was the person who mentioned the antlers: Reggie has had his for several weeks now and is barely making a dent on it despite keeping him busy for hours! He does have a crate to sleep in and he uses one when we go to work but he prefers to sleep on the stairs when both myself and his lordship are here (when he's normally spark out all night: I have to wake both of them up in the morning!) So I don't want to start shutting him up at night when we're home alone as that'll upset him further. We'll be doing home alones for a few months so he'll get used to it!
52 children today and despite my wearing brand new smart trousers and high heels (not exactly practical for leaping around the classroom playing the fool and climbing in engines) NOT A SINGLE CHILD THREW UP ON ME! Normally the mere hint at something "special" causes a child to up chuck everywhere. I am celebrating by climbing into my pjs and keeping all fluids well away from my laptop while I write up invoices and risk assessments (and hunting the internet for toys I want to help bring our "stories" to life).
Been reading tonight until I switched on the box and discovered a Time Team programme on Discovery History about garden restoration at Prior Park in Bath. That's a turn up for the books!
It's a rare treat Wintersong (although I have to confess a good 30% of my up chucks have been the adult helpers who are 500 times worse at not having breakfast / coming into work when they've a stomach bug / not washing their hands / for gods sake eat your breakfast)
Just stopped writing risk assessments to pack Reggies bag for a weekend away with family. Good lord how can one little dog need so much stuff?! I'm one step of purchasing a yummy mummy bag to try and keep an emergency away kit in
My bag however contains fresh underwear and a toothbrush. Perhaps I might splash out and put another pair of trousers in there (if there is space in the truck).
Or I might go and climb into bed. Watched super vets. Really really shouldn't watch super vets. I can watch one born every minute and feel nothing except bored but THAT POOR PUPPY
BL your lunch sounds lovely......blissful, I can dream of long lovely lunches.
Clari, glad your day went well and your Rehhie sounds like such a good boy when he isn't dighing up the garden. For what it's worth, my 2 are 7 and nearly 7 and noe spring has arrived so have the holes in the lawn!!
Is no-one growing sprouts this year or is it just no-one wants any seeds?
Morning all, got such a busy day thought I should get an early start. Light mornings make a difference too.
Sounds like a lovely lunch BL, might borrow a couple of ideas for my own guests, pork sounds lovely.
OH really, really surprised me yesterday, apparently the bench he ordered for me has a matching bisto set so he ordered that too, still in shock.
Off to clear another flowerbed and the vegetable plot (after dog walk), need to do SM shop and hairdresser coming this afternoon and then this evening special meeting of running club, as always busy day.
Hope you all have good days too.

Mild but cloudy this morning. Looks as though Verdun is in a good place for the eclipse while he's out planting his veggies. No, don't even look at it with sunglasses!
Shame you've not had any interest in your sprouts OL, perhaps everyone has their own seed by now. I have a load of veg seeds, four 6 in 1 packs, given to me by my niece so I'll have to have a go despite not having a veg patch or any space left on the windowsills.
Off to give younger son a lift to work as he's having a night on the town after work and it means we have the use of his car.
